Sugar Scrubs review

Estee Lauder - Private Spa Body Collection Crystal Glow Sugar Rub - 325g/17.6ozWe got together over the weekend after realising our arms, legs and backs were a little bit dry and decided to try out a sugar scrub by Estee Lauder called the "Estee Lauder Crystal Glow Sugar Rub"
as well as creating our own, we used the Estee Sugar Rub on our legs as it was the most expensive of our two products. It was a buttery blend of sugar cane crystals, olive oil, sunflower oil, and green grapeseed oil, the sugar rub hydrates and softens skin as it polishes away dryness and refines rough areas.
We found that our legs sparkled and glimmered and had a beautiful silky soft feel to them, but felt that the price was a little crazy and it smells terrible, when we opened the tub it was like an oil slick, as well as a thick layer of oils being left on the bath. Not fun to clean, at all :(
we've rated this product a 6/10

Brown Sugar
Once we'd used our Estee Lauder sugar rub we'd decided to mix up our own little sugar scrub using what we'd found in our pantry we used:

1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Sweetened Almond Oil
1 tsp Sunflower oil
1 tsp Macadamia oil
1/2-1 tsp Vanilla Extract

once we'd found our ingredients we mixed our oils and extracts together, we slowly added the oils cup by cup to the bowl of sugar. you need to mix it quickly to ensure the sugar doesnt melt away
mix it up well, and apply to skin, always make sure you moisturise after using a homemade sugar scrub as the homemade sugar scrub doesnt have as much of a moisturising purpose more or less an exfoliation purpose.

Let us know how you went with it :)
